Research Thrust:

Prof. Hardik J. Pandya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Division of EECS, and an Associate Faculty in the Department of Design and Manufacturing, Division of Mechanical Sciences, at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Prof. Pandya heads three laboratories (Biomedical and Electronic Engineering Systems Laboratory (BEES Lab)), focused on developing a new class of biomedical devices and technologies to solve health care challenges ranging from non-invasive technologies to invasive technologies for various neurological disorders.

Prof. Pandya’s group works in collaboration with clinicians across the globe to bring engineering solutions to solve some of the clinical challenges. Prof. Pandya believes solutions to big problems lie in small things. Hence, the BEES team works on the development of miniaturised technologies using micro/nano fabrication processes to provide solutions to real-time clinical challenges. The vision is to bring clinicians, scientists, engineers, students, academicians, and industrialists from various backgrounds together to bring well-being to the world.
