Potluck is the much-awaited two-day Cultural and Sports Fest of the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE) at the Indian Institute of Science where labs take a pause, sneakers come out, music gets loud, and the ESE family comes together.
Created as a break from everyday research and routines, Potluck is all about recharging minds, building friendships, and celebrating life beyond deadlines. It’s where students, researchers, faculty, and staff connect not as titles but as teammates, performers, and cheerleaders.
With 10+ sports and games, Potluck brings out everyone’s competitive (and fun) side! From cricket, volleyball, badminton, swimming, and carrom to laugh-filled fun games like musical chairs, tug of war, lemon & spoon, and more there’s something for everyone, whether you’re playing to win or just playing for fun.
The energy peaks during the Cultural Night; an evening packed with music, dance, performances, and pure vibes. The night wraps up with an awards and recognition ceremony, celebrating champions, volunteers, and the spirit of participation that makes Potluck unforgettable.
No fest is complete without good food and great conversations! Potluck ends on a delicious note with a shared dinner featuring both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, turning the fest into a space for stories, laughter, and new connections across labs and teams.
Because research is intense, but community makes it meaningful. Potluck exists to rejuvenate, connect, and strengthen bonds across ESE, reminding us that the best ideas, collaborations, and memories often start outside the lab.
